INETL, IP releasing consumer price index for the month of November 2023
Díli, 19 December 2023, The President of the National Instituto of Statistics of Timor-Leste, Sr. Elias dos Santos Ferreira together with BCTL representative, line ministry and also an institution of the government is release report of Consumer Price Index-CPI for November 2023. The event was held at the INETL, IP, Conference Room, Cai-coli, Dili, Timor-Leste.
The percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for each month was (+0.2%) in November, 2023 compared to October, 2023 (+0.2%). The percentagem change of all groups (+0.2%) also contributed significantly to the Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverage (+0.5%), Transport (+0.1%), and Housing (+0.1%). The groups of Alcohol and Tobacco (-0.6%), Clothing and Footwear (-0.1%), become as change against of all groups inflation. The Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverage rise (+0.5%), has a major impact on the Vegetable sub-group (+2.3%), Rice (+1.0%), Milk, Cheese, and Eggs (+0.5%), coffee, tea and chocolate (+0.4%), Fish and Seafood (+0.2%). Oils and fats sub-group decrease (-2.2%), Sugar, Jam, Honey, Chocolate and Confectionery (-1.0%) and Meat (-0.4%) change against the inflation in the group food of Non-alcoholic beverages.
Annual all groups percentage change rose (+9.0%) compared november 2023 to november 2022, was contributed by Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverage (+11.8%), Alcohol and Tobacco (+30.0%), Education (+7.0%), Clothing and Footwear (+1.7%), Communication (+0.7%), and Housing (+0.1%) for the year November 2023. The group of transport (-2.6%), Recreation and Culture (-0.7%), Equipment Furnishings and Housing Service (-3.2%) adjusting contrary to annual group inflation in November 2023.

Inflation of Tradeable increased (+11.4%) and non-tradeable also increased (+2.9%) in annually, compare between November 2023 with November 2022.
