About Timor-Leste Online Socioeconomic Indicators

The Timor-Leste Online Socioeconomic Indicators is a central  solution that provides policy planners, students and researchers, with statistics on the development of the country’s socioeconomic condition over time and across location or gender from various surveys, censuses. The socioeconomic indicators provided in this website are grouped into seven main themes: Education, Gender, Health, Housing, Labor-force, Population, and Poverty & Inequality.

Education

Education

The Education theme provides Timor-Leste’s education statistics, including enrollment rates for primary, secondary and tertiary education, literacy rates and survival rates. Types of disaggregation for these statistics include administrative level of disaggregation (national, region, district, urban/rural) and sex.

Gender

Gender

The Gender theme provides statistics for Timor-Leste’s education, poverty, immunization, nutrition, and employment indicators disaggregated by gender. These statistics are available at the national level and other disaggregation, for example by urban, rural, district and region.

Health

Health

The Health theme provides statistics for Timor-Leste’s health and nutrition indicators such as immunization, morbidity and treatment, and stunting. Types of disaggregation for these statistics include administrative level of disaggregation (national, region, district, urban/rural) and sex.

Housing

Housing

The Housing theme provides statistics on housing conditions in Timor-Leste, focusing on access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation, electricity, safe cooking fuel, and housing quality. Types of disaggregation for these statistics include administrative level of disaggregation (national, region, district, urban/rural) and head of household’s sex.
